Are users not entitled to an explanation if their accounts are suspended?

Is there not some sort of warning system, or at least an email from Y!A that should explain what was problematic with their postings? I'm trying to figure out why a contact of mine was suspended - they did not receive any explanation as to what they did that led to the suspension. Is this fair, and how can it be appealed? Customer Service won't answer any of their emails. I really want this contact to rejoin, she's very helpful.
