Would you consider these illegals to be harmless how will supporters defend them ?

Those receiving government benefits are legitimate? But I thought illegal immigrants couldn't get any public istance, and gosh, wouldn't they be too scared of getting caught? A fair number of undoented immigrant parents at my school drive newish vans, SUVs, and suburbans. The kids could take the bus, but the parents prefer to chauffeur them. I know the parents are undoented because the kids, some of whom are also without papers, have blabbed about it. Whenever I see them drive up to drop off their kids, I wonder how they manage to afford those vehicles. Construction pays much more than minimum wage, but it doesn't pay THAT well. Working at a public school has disabused me of the notion that illegal = pitifully poor. The few families that drive old clunkers make me wonder: Is it that they make less money, send most of their income south, or haven't figured out how to game the system?
