Moving out - cancel util on soon to be ex?

Yes call these different places and tell them a specific date u would like everything out of your name. They will shut them off. Because of this YES u can talk to your ex and worn him that u will be doing this so let him have a chance to switch them over into his name so he wont have to pay reconnect fees---UNLESS u think he deserves it...then I wouldnt warn him. Common Sense should tell him that u are going to do this.GOOD LUCK..Utilities were in my name too...but the house was mine...so i kicked him out..and i got stuck w/ all our bills. OH ALSO!! Nowadays alot of ppl put notice in newspaper when they split up...something like "NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DEBTS OTHER THAN MY OWN"
