Does anyone out there have tourettes or knows anything about it?

ok ive been having tics when i was really young but i was diagnosed when i was 17. im 19 now. ok so tics are suppose to be involuntary. ok let me just explain my tics i have a coughing tic and a head twithching tick with me its not nessary unvoluntary it just feels like i have to do cause if not i will feel uncomfortable i have held it in before but when im stressed are something it doesnt like just come out autamatically i just feel i need to especially cough just to realive the stress and then sometimes when i deep in to thought or focused on something i dont do it at all, and also the doctor looked made me relax my arm and he was like people with tourettes have this kinda relaxed arm has anybody ever heard of a such thing like that? ok mainly what im asking does the tics sometimes feel like a bad habit and maybe not nessary involuntary but just that u have to do it just to feel better?
