If I wear contacts, will they put that on my permit/driving license?

Hi there, I will be going to the DMV next week to get my permit and I'm a little bit nervous because my eye sight isn't the sharpest..I have some sort of astigmatism? and I need prescription gles and contacts.. My mom is a single parent trying the best she can, but of as now we can't afford to see a optometrist. I was thinking of trying the store bought contacts just in case I couldn't do the eye exam on my own. Will they put a restriction on my license if I do wear contacts? Saying that I must wear them at all times when driving?
